Our History In Pictures

Below are two recently acquired images that represent part of our history.

The first is an 8"x10" of the original part of our layout in our current site, before any of the scenery was applied.   It reminds us that our newer addition will eventually be finished, even though today it appears just like this original area - mainly a plywood landscape.  Our founder, A.Paul Mallery overlooks the ongoing construction from the long distance Engineers balcony, located in the upper left corner of the photo.

These photos were provided to us by former member Herbert J. Braun, who was present for the construction of the layout in our Union, NJ location.

The second is a clipping from an AT&T publication showing our founder A. Paul Mallery (on the left) and two other members working on the employee model railroad layout.

The rear of the clipping shows a date of 1952 along with a comment that reads "Construction of BTL-PT Layout."

Should anyone have more information about this lower image, please contact us - we'd love to hear from you.
